I’m soo pissed that people are STILL complaining about *Swim* and saying they expected it to be in Korean and all, that they’re “disappointed” and “expected something else”…
Like it’s totally fine if it’s not your taste, no one is forcing you to like every single song. But straight up calling it “disappointing” just because it didn’t match YOUR expectations?? That’s not criticism, that’s just being unfair.
And then the same people go “oh but I still loved Body to Body” like… did you actually listen to the WHOLE album or just picked one track to compare and complain?? Because clearly they didn’t forget their culture. There are STILL Korean tracks, STILL their original sound, STILL their identity all over the album.
And this whole “I’m an ARMY since ___ year and I didn’t expect this” like girl what exactly were you expecting?? Their base genre is HIP-HOP. They’ve ALWAYS experimented with sounds. They’ve NEVER stayed in one box. That’s literally what makes them BTS.
One track being different or more global doesn’t erase their roots, their culture, or their artistry. If anything, it shows how versatile they are.
At this point it just feels like people decide first that they’re gonna be disappointed and then look for reasons to justify it. Because if you actually listen without bias, you’d see the effort, the concept, and the range they’ve put into this album.
It’s okay to not vibe with a song. But acting like they “lost themselves” over one main track?? That’s just not it.

@bonoloommm bro SAME ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ I’ve literally been listening to the whole album on loop and every single song is beautiful like?? not even one skip. And after watching their live performances too?? it just hits even harder. Some people are just being disappointing atp… like you waited so long for their comeback and THIS is how you react?? Instead of appreciating the effort, the music, the growth… they’re just nitpicking. And the funniest part is them saying “I didn’t like the album” but still streaming it like?? then what are you even doing ಠಿ_ಠ just say you want attention and go. I swear real ARMYs would obviously be hyped and emotional about this, not sitting and complaining over one track. Like I get not everything will match your taste, but the way some people are dragging it is just too much.

THEY HAVEN'T LIMITED THEMSELVES TO ANY SPECIFIC GENRE AND SWIM WAS SPECIALLY FOR ARMYS, YOU CAN'T COMPARE IT TO ANYTHING KOREAN AND ALL CULTURE - And the album is fcking lit, 10000000/10 this is actual bts, ppl who r saying they didn't expected this r irrelevant
