Monica Lee is the mixed Kanaka Maoli/Indigenous author of Fricken Kids, and Makena's Shadow. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and is currently a graduate student pursuing her MFA in creative writing. Her poetry and short stories have been published in several literary journals and her lyrics and melodies can be heard on several albums. She is currently working on, The Line Up, a romantic comedy set on O'ahu, Hawai'i.
