@moonysfreckles its meant to honor someone who passed. Like in HBP when dumbledore died and everyone held their wands up witht he light glowing. The slash (/) is the wand and the asterisk (*) is the light coming from the wand thus, /*

Hey! I read a few chapters of your work “Wanderer” and absolutely liked it. Then I wanted to continue in Russian (my native) but didn’t find one. Thus me, who always wanted to try translating, kindly asks you to give a permission for translating this amazing story and publish it on ficbook.net

Hello do you have a tik tok? I wanted to tag you in videos regarding ‘wanderer’

moonysfreckles

hi!! oh yes! It’s evieebeee (I don’t post anything I just use TikTok to watch dog videos to be honest). I’m super honoured people would even consider making videos that include ‘wanderer’ so I’m really excited, thank you so much for reaching out!!!

Hi, I just find your profile and start to read, I'm in love with your writing, even if I don't comment a lot. I prefer to immerse myself in book without comments.
But I really feel that I should tell you, that your writing is really good. I'm not native English speaker, but either way, I still can appreciate stories in this language

Please, write some more for the readers sake

moonysfreckles

Hi! Oh gosh thank you so much for your kind words. I absolutely love to write and unfortunately I don’t have much time to write anymore because of university work. Your comment inspires me to try write more though ❤️ I really appreciate it, thank you!!! E x

Is ‘the light’ a Sirius fanfic ?

moonysfreckles

If you mean Sirius x Hermione, then no. There are multiple ships (because of it’s length and the time span) but that’s not the final ship :)

Hello hello! I hope you're all safe and happy.

For those of you who have read my fanfiction The Light, you'll know that it was a (not so little) labour of love that I started when I was 12/3 and finished at about aged 16/7. Since then, I left it well alone. I read bits of it recently and whilst it's still like my baby, there are certain sections that I feel could be made more in-character, better written, more believable etc. so I'm re-writing it!

This is a mammoth of a task, I'm only on Chapter 3 (oop) but I wondered whether I should edit the current fanfiction or repost it as a new *edited* story. What do you guys think! Based on some of your lovely comments, TL appears to be a nostalgia fix and I don't want to take that away from anyone in changing it. Even if you've never read TL, I'd love to know what you would do! I'm still a bit clueless about fanfiction.

          all my love, E x

@Emiloo thank you so much my lovely!! That helps MASSIVELY❤️ I think that’s what I’m going to do once I’ve gotten through every chapter. It makes more sense and it’s easier for both me and readers! You’re also right, I’m finding it easier to rewrite at the moment than edit! Thank you so much for your help!

@PadfootsPrincess You need to do this how you feel most comfortable doing it. All I know is that it is usually easier to start anew than to fix an existing thing. In that sense, it would probably be simpler for you to rewrite the whole story in a different/separate book - even if you copy/paste large bits of the original story. Does that help? All my support on this daunting endeavour.
