While most books are written from the hero's POV, this one is written from the villain's.
With a city bound by a deal, the edges of Afeda are caged by a thick mass of fog.
And a group of criminals are carelessly chosen to risk their lives in order to see what's beyond the cloud, wildlife? endless fog? beasts?
Jazal Von Glass, a 17 year old bandit is up the thrill of being in that group.
And with her being an orphan, Jazal faces a sea of thirst for family. But has swam in betrayal all her life, therefore making it close to impossible that she never has one.
Although she may need to let her walls down for Silas and Casey, the only two boys who have a chance on getting her through the fog.
