[ narcissa, although maintaining her poised exterior, couldn't suppress a faint smile as she observed the arrangement of daffodils. ] well, this is quite the charming surprise. [ she said with a softness in her tone. unbeknownst to lucius about her awareness, there was a genuine warmth in her expression, finding the gesture unexpectedly endearing. the delicate charm of the unexpected daffodils seemed to soften the edges of her usual resting face. she gracefully accepted the bouquet from lucius, her elegant fingers delicately curling around the stems. as she lifted the flowers, her icy eyes met his, and a subtle warmth softened her gaze. she admired the daffodils with a poised composure, a fleeting hint of appreciation evident in the cool depths of her stare ] you didn’t have too, lucius. is there a special occasion for such a thoughtful gesture?

⠀ yes. [ daffodils. neatly settled in a bouquet, untouched delicacy. cruel boy who played with toys that ended up breaking them, little fingers callous &. uncaring against such fragility. but /she/, she was perfect. he dared even saw her as an equal, not someone he could so easily have to act as an subject. orbs full of uncertainty, not knowing what else to say to her, he has been looking for reasons to talk to her. this was something of a rarity, some hex she must’ve placed on him. ] i thought roses would be better suited but, your name, it means daffodils. a fresh batch for you.
