“Captivating Stranger”
By: Vevi
4 years ago we met,
In line for the counter in the supermarket,
He looks so alluring,
Clad in his glasses and black jacket
His hair was the color of copper, rolling in elegant waves
His eyes were a mesmerizing hazel,
With beautiful freckles lining his face
His luscious lips are pursed,
And his dark brows knit together,
We stood in silence, listening to the buzz of the crowd
As he fumble with the strap of his guitar hanging from the small of his back.
I wanted to approach him, say something.
But the words gets caught in my throat,
And all I can do was bask in his captivating glory.
As the time I've been dreading closes by the second.
It's time to leave,
I watch him walk away,
Too dramatic you might say.
But not asking for his name, I regret untill today.
