to the tiny band of people on here who still keep up with me: hello! Just finished major renovations on The Things That Stay, + several new chapters. If you're at all invested in this story, I recommend starting all the way back at the beginning and going from there, as the revisions I've made are significant.

Have you thought about publishing Paper Stars? I’d love to have a hard copy on my bookshelf!

@Brittney277660 aw that's very kind of you! Unfortunately, that story--while it still holds a special place in my heart--was something I wrote as a teenager in high school, and isn't something I'd ever want to "put out there" in that capacity. I'm 27 now and just finished getting my MFA in writing, so I've come a long way from where I was when I first wrote and posted PS. I'm currently posting my WIP thesis on here, though, which is what I intend on making my debut novel. It's called "The Things That Stay", and I'm immensely proud of it thus far, so if you appreciated my writing and characters in Paper Stars that much, then maybe you might enjoy this one too :) If you truly want to get a physical copy of PS, I don't mind sending you an old PDF of it if you'd like to go get it printed at Kinkos or Office Depot or whatever yourself!

Okay, big story update! For quite awhile now, I’ve been seriously considering changing Benjamin and Daniel’s names to Isa and Ira. Isa [ee-sah] is the Arabic form of Joshua, and Ira [eye-rah] is a Hebrew name meaning ‘watchful’, and was also the name of King David's priest. I love their old names, but somehow they feel too mundane for the more fantastical world I’ve created, and these new ones sound so good together! I’d love to hear what you all think. While I’m quite sure I’ll eventually make the change regardless, I really value your opinions.
