I mean, I don't really think you're "using" the hype. Even with Sister Location coming out there's still not a lot of hype tbh. People don't read because of hype, they read because they think you wrote a very enjoyable story. There can easily be a bad fanfic of Fnaf, it depends on how it's wrote. You are a good writer, therefore people read it.
