reiner couldn't believe it. marcel died... he WITNESSED that boys death with his own eyes about five years ago. but now that lying, manipulative boy was standing amongst the rest in the cadet core. as soon as the brunette walked in his stomach turned. it just wasn't possible. marcel galliard was still alive and the impacted of his words all those years ago continued to eat away at reiner. the mere sight of that supposedly " perfect " warrior made his blood boil. you would think relief and happiness would wash over him knowing his so called friend was alive but, that wasn't the case. as terrible as this sounded, he wished that know it all really was dead. he was the one who ruined his life, yet blessed it at the same time. watching marcel came strut around as if he were a perfect little angel made reiner want to strangle him. oozing up to the enemy... made reiner sick. frankly, reiner didn't think marcel was doing it on purpose. he was just good at EVERYTHING making him popular amongst everyone. soon came along meal time. reiner's head was too occupied to worry about eating. so all he did was stare at the plate in front him, poking the food with his fork. that was until he heard a familiar voice heading his way. the seventeen year old jolted his head. he was expecting to see annie close behind marcel but she wasn't around for once. of course he had to take this opportunity. he took hold of his tray of food, turning his body to appear he was going to get up from the bench. when marcel was close enough, he stuck his leg out " accidentally " tripping the other. as petty as that seemed, reiner felt it was necessary. he didn't stop there, though. soon after marcel hit the floor, he allowed the tray to slip from his hands, falling right on top of the brunette. " oh shit ─ my bad. "

reiner rubbed the back of his neck, an awkward smile forming on his lips. it was taking a lot of self control to not punch that fools perfect teeth out of his his mouth. he was quick to lend a hand, carefully helping marcel to his feet. the blonde's eyes ran up and down the brunettes figure, admiring the mess he had caused. "yeah, you're covered from head to toe... damn, i'm really sorry." the taller teen promptly stood up and dusted himself off. "the least i can do is help you clean up." he needed to understand marcel. figure out how he was still alive and what he's been doing for these past five years. what better way to do that then get close with an opportunity to bond. :: I'M SORRY IT'S SO SHORT COMPARED TO YOUR

* ·˚⸸彡 marcel's hazel eyes scanned the dinning hall, not looking for anyone in particular. then he stopped as soon as he spotted reiner. it seemed as if he were avoiding him ever since marcel arrived. which was understandable... but nothing was going to get done this way. marcel took it upon himself to be the first to speak up. he made his way over there, watching as reiner shifted himself. was he really going to get up and leave ? marcel HAD to talk to him, so swiftly picked up his pass in order to catch him before he left. next thing he knew, his chin slammed into the hard wood floor. the wind knocked right out of his lungs. a quiet groan slipped from his throat as he tried to stand back up. only for a tray of that unappealing food to fall on top of him. then he heard reiner speak... woah. when did he start sounding so... manly. " no, it's fine. don't worry about it. " the teen looked up at the blonde with a smile, pushing himself up off the floor. " damn... now i gotta change. " he looked down at the black button up shirt he was wearing, now covered in whatever that slop was. 【 @reirbrn 】 ( 2/2 )

* ·˚⸸彡 it was true, he did die. at least that's what he thought. five years ago was when marcellus galliard met his fate in-between the jaws of a titan. he couldn't remember what had happened that day. only when he jumped in to save reiner... watching as his trust has slipped away while the others ran. next thing he knew, he was alone on a huge empty field outside the walls. marcel took the mission into his own hands after that day. by the time he reached wall it were already broken and infested with titans. it quite easy to get inside. sneaking past all those pesky titans was the hard part. from there, he attempted to gather as much information as he could on his own. Talking to pastors and breaking into churches at night was his main route for that. until he reached a certain age. eventually, he had decided to join the so called enemies military. that's when he was met with the familiar faces of those who ran five years ago. marcel no longer felt like their leader nor part of their group. he felt disconnected from them. he knew he would get shit done more efficiently on his own. he couldn't rely on them. so that's what he did. in secret, he would do everything on his own. after a long day of training, a good meal was much needed. marcel headed to the dinning hall with his " delicious " plate of bread and mysterious slop... on second thought, marcel wasn't hungry after all. he didn't need to eat anyway. good thing he had potato girl to dispose of it without waste. 【 @reirbrn 】 ( 1/2 )
