Being a student author is cranking out an extra credit poem in five minutes because i could copy paste from the notes section of my phone (it’s actually pretty good too)

Anybody else’s school suffering from devious licks? This has got to be the funniest trend ever, terrible, but really funny

He invited me to his house to work on a school project. I was walking down the hallway to join him in his room when I saw a picture on the wall. It was of him with sunglasses and a top hat, always the little performer.
          “Oh don’t mind that”
He came over and tried to block the picture from me. “My parents love putting up embarrassing pictures of me.”
“No no no I want to see it!”
He awkwardly shuffled to the side as I leaned in to get a closer look. I could feel him looking at me as I looked at the picture of his past.
“Wow even then you loved to perform!”
“Yeah, singing and dancing was kind of my thing back then. I used to dance along to all the Disney Channel theme songs” he replied. “Here wait, look at this one.” He guided me over to the opposite wall, this time with him posing next to a life guard stand at a beach. His demeanor had all the confidence in the world, even though he was covered in sand and sunscreen.
“Aw you were so cute!” I gushed.
          “Past tense?”
My mind blurred, not knowing exactly what to say to that. Instead I snorted and rolled my eyes. Defense mechanism, oops. I turned to see him grinning at me.
“Well at least back then you were humble. I wonder what happened to that trait.”
