there r all these books abt the main boy in school but id love to read one abt one of his sidekicks. ya feel?

the reason y im so pressed when there are abusive and manipulative traits in characters is bc it really isnt jUsT a BoOk. people generate expectations for love from books on here, and giving the impression that abusive traits are cute or fixable are not okay. so when i complain abt this stuff in the comments, its to remind impressionable readers that these are red flags to look for in a relationship.

not @ any particular book or writer but the more i grow and the more capable i am of noticing red flags of a toxic relationship, the more pissed i get whenever i read a teen fiction book on this platform. so many writers are romanticizing the main guy chasing after the girl after shes voiced how she doesnt want him — her inner monologues dont matter when externally, she’s been telling him to f off
