Hey y'all. I know it's been a while. I had been debating whether or not I wanted to post the rest of the novel since I have actually rewrote majority of the book. The second half of the book is almost completely different and I am in the process of completing it. Maybe one day I'll show it to y'all. But I will be posting the original ending in full. I know it's been a while but if even just one person enjoys it, that's enough for me. I hope everyone is doing well as they can during the pandemic.

NUMBERING IS FIXED!!! I have put in all of the edits that I have as of right now. As I do my edits (I do them on paper and then put them in google docs), I will update the last couple of chapters that I need the extra additions. As of right now, every chapter except the last three LXV-LXVII (65-67) has my most recent edits. I would strongly encourage you all to check on the updates! I've added a lot of new things. I straightened out some issues and filled up some holes in the story. A new chapter will be out tomorrow. I want to see if I can do some more edits before I post so I can have everything up to date for you all. Thank you so much for reading!

Update: I've been working really hard trying to make sure the edits are up to date so when I post the chapter for tomorrow, it's everything that I have right now but I don't know if that'll be possible but I will post the new chapter tomorrow regardless of whether or not I finish. I think chapter LIII (53) is the last chapter I added the edits to. I would recommend going back and rereading some of the chapters because they do have new content. Especially the ones pertaining to the trial, Virginie's kidnapping, and flashback scenes with Alex and Stephanie.

Ignore the numbering for right now. I didn't realize the edits I've done would result in more chapters being added. When the dust settles, things will look a better but's annoyingly messy right now. I wish Wattpad allowed me to make these edits on a macro scale rather than a micro one so I could avoid doing all of this craziness.

I fixed the numbering problem but if I add some extra chapters, I might have to do some more work on that. My apologies. The newest chapters are XVIII-XX (18-20) and LXVI (66). Up to chapter XIV (14) is up to date with my most recent edits. Happy reading! :) Thanks for sticking with me! I will be updating weekly again now.

I have a lot of things going in my life but I will be providing y'all with the bonus chapter I made (and there's gonna be another one coming) so when I update please check out the bonus chapter as well as the one that's continuing the story. Sorry about the lack of activity. The workshop is making me rethink so many things and I don’t want to give y’all what I have now because I don’t think it’s good anymore. I’m conflicted as to whether I should post everything and edit later or wait until I have things ironed out. If you have an opinion, please let me know.

What's up? I hope everyone is doing well. Here's the tea: on Monday, I submitted part of this novel for my workshop class and they gave me some SUPER HELPFUL comments so I am working on incorporating those into the novel to make it better. If I have time, I will try to post the latest chapter but I cannot promise anything but we are getting somewhat close to the end. It's not going to end extremely soon but just know things are heating up to wind down.
