In that time, Bobby started therapy and began figuring himself out. Then they spent three years becoming best friends, before finally admitting that they were still in love with one another. Lili struggled with the fear of losing their friendship if they didn't work out because she's a control freak who wants to prepare for everything. She can't handle messy things and there are few things messier than her relationship with Bobby. She does that thing where she starts avoiding it cuz it's too big and scary. And he has to tell her that there were no guarantees and that she has to be all in, mess and all. And she is but she wants to keep it quiet, because she's scared of the press. There's a lot of smut and laughter between them. They go to Hope and Lucas's wedding and have to pretend they aren't together and it's frustrating for him. Eventually, they decide to move in together and she chooses to out them to the media, and it ends with them briefly "joking" about marriage before chasing each over muddy snow puddles in front of the press, playful and hopeful about their future. Theeeee end.
And in the epilogue I never wrote, but lives in my head, they got married about a year later, in a treehouse. Bobby planned the whole thing, cuz Lili didn't have a wedding vision. They have one child together, but choose to stop there and become a welcoming foster family.
