A little sneak peek of the prologue of "Dear Dairy: The Past of Elena"
[Elena now stood in the woods surrounding herself in nature. It was something she had always done when the men and boys in the village had become overwhelming asking for her hand in marriage and it was something her father never allowed.
Her peace was soon ended by a little boy screaming for help, Elena tried to focus on where the screaming was coming from, her dress had gotten stuck on a branch and it had ripped a little scratching her leg but she ignored her pain and stopped at the stream which carried a young boy who was nearly drowning.
Elena looked around the area seeing no way to help him she dived into the water and made her way to the boy trying to keep her head above water as she grabbed his hand pulling him towards her.
“Henrik!”
She heard multiple voices call out the same name. But she wasn’t too focused on that; she tried to hold herself and the boy up, her gaze turning every way until she spotted a tree branch sticking over the water; she used her free hand to grab on to it.
The boy clung onto her tightly as she pulled them out of the water, dropping them into the leaves just as the voices got closer and suddenly three men were coming from four different sections of the forest.]
