ezrra goes with the byers when they leave for california. he's reluctant to leave the town he's known for so long , but he understands the reasoning. as much as he doesn't want to leave — he's even more unwilling to leave his family.
having to get used to a whole new place is hard — especially for someone who always felt like he didn't belong to begin with. hawkins wasn't perfect , but he had gained friends there .. there was nothing in this new place. he was back to being a loner ( alone ). a feeling he couldn't express to his family — not when they had left for their safety.
at this news they were going back , ezrra sat in silent excitement at returning. a feeling that was quickly washed away when they came back only to find out that eddie , one of their only friends , was now dead. the same guy who has relentlessly chased him until he agreed to join his band .. the guy who ezrra had childishly thought to be invincible. they had known each other for years , years when they were younger — when life was easier. ezrra had been freshly fifteen when he had left — they had promised to meet again. now , knowing that wasn't an option , he just felt .. lost.
| he was 13 in season one , in case anyone needs to reference that for anything. in the current seasons he's 17 , making him a senior.
| speaks in very few words. his sentences can seem choppy because of this. he'll write or use sign language ( if it's understood ) during the times he goes mute.

| has a bad smoking habit. he's been trying to get rid of it. joyce thinks he's quit , but he definitely goes back on it every now and then. obsessively eats lollipops to dampen the urge.
| he's got some first aid skills, so he's tasked himself with keeping everyone functioning .. as much as he can , at least. it makes him feel like he's benefitting to something , especially during the time where will is missing.
| quick to insult people over literally anything.
| he used to get into a lot of fights. it's toned down a lot , but it definitely still happens — it's usually justified though. the type of person to fight bullies.
| will never be seen with a natural hair color. red is the closest compromise the school has gotten. it gets crazier during the summer.
