I don't like using the word "hate".... honestly, if you can help it- don't say it- and tell other people not too- eventually they'll quit, but in the meantime it annoys the HELL out of them if you keep correcting them
 
ex: 
my bro: I hate mustard- *looks at me*
Me: *my mouth open JUST about to correct him*
bro: And YES, I know it's a strong word!
