So my short story was due today. And for the past weekend, I'm pretty sure that my computer has now become a part of me because my fingers and keyboard didn't part until I finished writing.
After two or three outlines, I kept pausing on Unexpected (a previous work I jotted down and published on here quite recently), and I realized I kept trying to reproduce the same romantic comedy that we are all so used to. Right now, in my life, I don't feel so comedic or romantic.
So I started writing Found You. I don't know where it came from (sometimes, they say that works are written from the subconscious, and maybe). It scares me to think I wrote the antagonist character based off of someone that I know. The subconscious mind works in the most beautifully twisted way.
If you, my follower, is getting this notification... Just know I spent a good two hours after I finished writing, just looking over at my friend and telling him the grand old "I don't think it's good. What if it's bad?" I actually spent time and effort. Leaving things unfinished is a big flaw of mine and to see that finally, in four or odd something years, I started and finished something. I'm actually proud of myself for that.
If you have some time on your hands, and you're still reading this, please go check out my new story. :) I'm not going to say that it's amazing, but I'm proud that I've finished it. And I just wanted to share it with you guys.
I divided the short story up into parts so I'll be uploading more throughout the week. Thank you and I hope you all have a wonderful night/day!
