@muupsies Yes, I'm a fan of the whole "friends to enemies" thing. Although I'd imagine them as anti-heroes. The series had good guys and bad guys so adding in anti-heroes would be interesting.
Really? Nice
I agree.
I've got more ideas:
Remember how Purple Guy was brought back in the High School series? Well he should be a more active threat to the brothers as he targets their friends like he did with Kid BB. He could have Jay, Jeff & Moose constantly looking over their shoulders as they fear he'll strike at any moment.
The Funtimes should also be more active threats this time.
Towards the end of the High School series, just as the Funtimes are about to win, they're betrayed by Purple Guy. And here's the big plot twist, the PG from the HS series isn't Season 1 PG but rather, Subject-88.
Subject-88 ended up surviving the TNT explosion on the tree house and used one of their powers to disguise themselves. 88 tried to copy PG's appearance but ended up looking different from him. Subject-88 is essentially like the Mimic, they pretend to be PG after the original was shot by Chipper. Having the OG Purple Guy stay dead would be interesting as nobody, not even the characters would have seen that twist coming. Plus, PG had served his purpose as an antagonist and doesn't need to be brought back like his game counterpart (who was also brought back before the developers replaced him with the Mimic).
Ending off the HS with Subject-88 destroying the Funtimes would be an interesting way to make them the main antagonist of Season 2. 88 could return after a small timskip where Jay & Moose are now in college (instead of the 20 year timskip like the original) and have dreaded for the day 88 returns.
