When will a new chapter be updated?? Also I love this book, it so good!!!、(*^▽^*)

Here’s the break down:
          
          I’ve started from the beginning and am editing this book chapter by chapter. 
          I’m doing this in a new document because I don’t want to lose the work I’ve done already. I want to see where I started & how I’ve grown. Also. I wrote a lot of stuff that I like and I want to see how I got to those places, how hard some of the chapters were to write.
          
          I’m a very sentimental person and I realized something while editing.
          
          I don’t want to overwrite my original book on Wattpad either! Therefore, I am going to publish a new book with the same name, a different cover and an almost identical description. I’m going to mark the current “A Chance for Change” as complete with a note in the title and description that lets everyone know the book is not actually finished.
          
          
          In the new book:
          The main story and major plot points ARE NOT CHANGING! So don’t worry. If you want to skip over the chapters you’ve already read, go for it. I don’t think you will be missing out on major details. If there is something big I need to change in the early chapters for whatever reason, I will post a message (without spoilers) directing y’all to the chapter where the change is. 
          
          This is the only way I could think of doing this while still keeping the original there for anyone who wanted to go back and read it or...whatever. I don’t know. As I said, I’m very sentimental and deleting the original or completely writing over it feels wrong to me.
          
          Thank you so much for taking the time to read all of this! I’m VERY sorry if this is confusing or anything. It was confusing to me too. This is, in my opinion, the best course of action for me to take. If any of you have any opinions about this or any questions or comments, feel free to comment on one of these posts, or private message me! 
          
          This rewrite won’t come out for a bit but it is coming. A new chapter will come out with it as well!

Because I haven’t written consistently in such a long time, I went back to the beginning of ACFC and began rereading. 
          
          Getting back into Freya’s head was, thankfully, very easy (I missed her so much!!) and getting Loki’s voice back was as simple as making popcorn and binging some marvel movies (I missed him too!!). 
          
          But, as I read what I’d written about 5 or 6 years ago, I started noticing some things that bugged me. My writing has changed a bit and become more sophisticated so some of what I want to change is stylistic (I think that’s the right word?). I also came across a few scenes that I find problematic. I want my story to be a good place, an unproblematic place. 
          
          —Hell, I started this story to be a one off (maybe a few chapters) where Loki meets someone who’s a good match and makes him happy. Obviously, it’s not that. But the sentiment remains. I want Loki and Freya to be happy, damn it!— 
          
          Ahem. Stylistic changes and edits to problematic scenes and other edits in general mean that this is not going to be a one and done endeavor. I gotta go back through, and I’ve started doing that. And then I realized that I’m editing a lot. Oh boysie.
          My solution will be detailed in the next post.

First, I want to make sure you all know that I have not given up on A Chance for Change. I have known the ending for a while (years) and it will continue as long as it needs to in order to reach a version of the ending I have planned. Now, as many of you who have been here from the beginning (thank you a million times again, oh my god!) may know, I have never had a very consistent posting schedule. You could argue strongly that it was, in fact, nonexistent. Haha. But when I went to college, updates all but stopped. I think I posted a total of 5 chapters in the last four-ish years. 
          
          There are many factors that played into this: busy with schoolwork, guilt that appeared when I did anything other than schoolwork, as well as some mental health and self-confidence related things. Writing became extremely difficult for me after freshman year due to, surprisingly, a creative writing class. I could get into detail about this, but I won’t because then this post would be way too long. To my immense relief, writing has become easier again. And I’m back, baby! Woo!

Hello to my lovely readers and followers, and to those who have stumbled upon my account. I have a bit to say and it will take 3 posts, so please bear with me!

Very long time, no see, friends! Time's are tough, things are changing, and we're living through so much history right now. That being said, I hope you're all as okay as you can be, staying safe, keeping in touch with loved ones, and taking care of yourselves.
          
           I'm slowly getting back into writing after what I have to say has been a very long drought. Going to college, I knew I wouldn't be writing as much, but...boy oh boy, I was hoping I would write more than I have done (haha...oh well, here we are).
          
          Writing has been very difficult for me for many different reasons but I'm hoping that by rereading and doing some minor edits on previous chapters, I will finally be back to writing regularly. If you got an update that I published, I apologize. I was editing Chapter 7 a little bit. 
          
          Currently, I am finishing the last (!!) class I need for university and then will be buckling down with writing and I'm very excited! Please feel free to reach out if you want! I've appreciated all of you sticking with me, commenting, engaging, voting. It all just makes me so happy.

          P.S.
          If anyone is looking for a way to passively donate/actively support to BLM (whether you cannot actively donate for whatever reason or are unable to go out to protests, etc.), there are some videos on YouTube where all Ad Revenue goes to different organizations! There's one I've been watching off and on with some really good music from singer/songwriters of color.
