“So, you want me to be a broker for the ‘League of Villains.’” Izuku recited. He sat at the bar, sipping tea that Kurogiri had made him.
“Yes. Your keen eye and intelligence would make everything easier for us. Especially with All Might.”
‘I see. They’re after All Might. They’re like any other yakuza.’ Izuku said, staring heavily at his cup. ‘But…’
“I’m not a villain. I’ve always wanted to save people. I’ve wanted to become a hero since I was little. It’s been my dream. It… still is…” Izuku started to trail off, not even believing what he was saying.
“Midoriya given your current circumstances, you are just as much of a hero as an amateur villain.” Kurogiri said, standing in front of him behind the bar tables. Izuku looked up at him with shock. He hadn’t thought about it that way.
“Do you really plan to waste these talents living on the streets rotting?” Shigaraki said from behind. “We can give you a world of opportunities, Midoriya.” Shigaraki leant into the boy's ears. Where he could clearly hear the rasp in his voice.
“We are alike, you and I. Casted away by society. Hoping for a hero to save the day but instead left behind.” Izuku froze at the words. It was true. “All we need is for you to provide information when we ask. Or we can borrow the other 12 notebooks…”
“That won’t be possible. It’s likely they were all destroyed in the fire. Anything remaining would be unillegible.” Izuku whispered, glaring at the table.
“What a shame.” Shigaraki hissed. They sat in silence as Izuku thought about his answer. “Tick-Tock, My patience is running low.”
“I’ll… do it.” Izuku said, looking up. He saw Shigaraki’s smile grow from ear to ear. “But that doesn’t mean I’m a part of the league. I don’t want to know what you’re doing with my information. I want to keep a peace of mind.”
“We can arrange that.” Shigaraki smiled. He glanced at Kurogiri. “Sensei will be thrilled.”
