I just read The Cliff and the moment when Ruth opens the wooden box only for the wing to take Maya instead of destroying everyone was such an intense twist especially after all the buildup of whether Aamon could really kill her. I loved how it shifted so suddenly from chaos to relief ending with that tender scene of him holding Ruth’s hands by the cliff. It left me wondering though was Maya truly defeated there or is there still a chance she returns in another form?
