@calamitous_ass I’m so sorry i didn’t see and respond to this sooner!! first and foremost, i say with all the genuine respect and gratitude in the world that i appreciate everything your writing represents and the way you use calamity and your platform to spread awareness so very much. i understand feeling like your words can at times be too excessive and graphic—going into my coh rewrite i knew that i wanted to double down on certain topics that i know can be difficult to read through—but please know that your dissemination is NOT excessive or too much. it’s like you said (in such a perfectly worded way), censoring difficult but very real topics only benefits the ruling class. there’s a reason why book bans and censorship are ordered by the obstinate, and we cannot give them the satisfaction of sweeping our activism under the rug when there is so much that needs to be said and so much that people need to be aware of. YOU are an unparalleled diva and the world will know YOUR name!! thank you so much for this message, it actually means a lot, and i’m glad my words helped you as well. <33 keep doing what you’re doing because you are doing it AMAZINGLY! i’m glad to know others that use their writing to spread awareness and build empathy, i highly, highly encourage it.
i really deeply appreciate your message. like so much. like fr. because this is genuinely the exact thing i needed to hear. because i’ve been grappling with some doubts lately regarding how i use my writing to spread awareness. my goal has always been to build empathy, but it’s been hard not to feel like i’m doing too much, being too graphic, maybe i need to tone it down a bit. it’s been hard to not feel like it’s unnecessary, or that no one will even read it if i publish it as a book, and maybe i should just stick to solely focusing on romance. it’s been hard to come to the conclusion that this mindset only benefits the ruling class. the discouragement of writing and reading, ESPECIALLY about difficult topics, ESPECIALLY when you don’t censor or sanitize them, only benefits the ruling class. i refuse to contribute to that anymore. your reassurance that my voice DOES matter and WILL be heard is exactly what i needed to hear. thank you mydarkflower you icon you absolute unparalleled DIVA the world will know ur name!!!!! I haven’t finished rewriting chapter one of COH yet!! However, the all new character introduction chapters with new character aesthetics are up! I couldn’t wait to publish them <33 Getting closer and closer to reintroducing this story and its characters soon!!
ALL EYES STILL ON GAZA!
The announcement of the ceasefire deal gives us the opportunity to continue to raise awareness as well as our voices, to donate, and to NEVER forget nor grow complacent. This is only the beginning. I pray for a complete end to the occupation, and that the world soon sees news of Palestine’s liberation. Rebuilding Gaza will take years, and there is so very much to mourn, so very much to reflect on. We must continue to keep our eyes on Gaza and let the voices of Palestinians be acknowledged. The fight does not end here.

@calamitous_ass 100% agree!!! there have still been many atrocities committed by israelis even with the ceasefire in effect, and I find it difficult to believe that orange satan will let the ceasefire deal stand, which infuriates me. there is still LOTS of work to be done as you said, and we should not put a pause in updating the world about what’s happening in palestine. we must continue to advocate, inform, and donate. not grow complacent and ignorant.
i WHOLEHEARTEDLY believe that even with the ceasefire there is still so much work to be done. palestine still deserves reparations for all israel as destroyed. and even then, my biggest fear is that wrinkly rapist shit with the face of an orange-tinted ballsack who somehow became the president of the united states on martin luther king jr day. i genuinely have no doubt that he will disregard the ceasefire deal and “finish the job” as he promised he would.
@goldvst It’s horrible that despite the announcement of the ceasefire, we still have to wait until Sunday when it’s actually set in motion and there’s already been more than 50 people killed in Gaza. I believe that we shouldn’t ever let anyone forget about what Palestinians have been facing since 1948, and the enablers should not be given any respite from the true accusations of what they’ve done/allowed to happen. I firmly agree that now is a great time to continue to raise awareness and to not put a pause on our activism. Palestinians have remained the most steadfast people I know, and the least we can do is show them we’re still standing by their side. ❤️

happy birthday to the man whose face card was a little too lethal in the second harry potter movie, and whose personality and background are the two reasons i wish i could keep him in an enclosure so that i may assess him and startle him by rattling the bars. i wish i could say that my version of tom is safe from The Horrors i will be putting my characters through, but i would be lying.
he’ll be responding to said Horrors unconventionally though, which makes things 100x more fun!
