hi guys, even though there’s not really anyone following me on here lol, i still wanted to make a little note about *tranquility*.
this story has been in the works since i was about 14 years old. the first time i ever came up with the idea was during quarantine, sometime in the summer, when i heard “pictures of girls” by wallows
around that same time, i was also very obsessed with harry styles, which is honestly how the earliest version of *tranquility* started. however, "pictures of girls" gave me the idea for jules, and eventually i started building the characters and the world around her.
over the years, the story has changed a lot because i’ve changed a lot. i haven’t always been consistent with it because i’ve grown up. but somehow, this story always finds its way back to me.
at least once a year, i get the random urge to completely rebrand it, rewrite it, and change everything so it fits who i am now. i’m almost 19 years old, and i really want to restart the book and rewrite it in a way that feels more true to my current writing and my current standards.
so if anyone who read it before gets notifications about chapters being republished or changed after all these years, that’s why. i’m just trying to make it better.
even though "tranquility" started as a fanfiction, i don’t want it to only be seen as that. i still like harry’s music, but obviously my interest in him isn’t the same as it was when i was 13 or 14. i want "tranquility" to become its own world, with its own characters, storylines, emotions, relationships, and everything else that makes it feel real. maybe not a lot of people will see this right now, but maybe one day, if the story gets more attention, this will still be here as a little note about where it all started.
