Back to my point, it cost too much money to buy physical books, so imagine my absolute joy when I discovered Wattpad, a FREE forum where I could read thousands of books from ANY genre at ANY time! It was like my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Not only could I read annythhinngg I could immediately comment whatever was on my mind about the story and interact with other individuals who felt the same way I did. Heck we even had a Wattpad group in my high school where we would read the same books at the same time and completely fan girl and complain over and about anything.
I know right now it's not alot of money and right now we can still use the app for free (just with ads almost every 2 chapters) but eventually there will come a time where we will have to pay to use the app as a whole because that's the way this world works, everything is about money and nothing stays afloat for long without it.
I'm not upset with Wattpad management realistically speaking they'd be fools not to capitalize on such a huge success of an app especially with the way the economy and world evolves. It just reminds me of the past 8-9 years of my life, every time I turned to Wattpad when I was bored, sad, angry, happy, depressed, hurt, excited. Funny thing? I haven't purchased a single book since I started using Wattpad, and the first book my mother bought me since? Was a month ago for my college graduation about conquering your 20s. Sigh. Enjoy this while you can everyone. Nothing is forever

I cannot believe Wattpad is making you pay to use the app without ads. I mean it was inevitable in today's world but damn it makes me sad.
I remember when I first started Wattpad when I was 12. It was because I absolutely loved (still do) reading! I've always read very quickly, my mother would buy me a book and I'd finish it in an afternoon. Could you imagine how much money it was to sustain my reading habits? Especially since it was all I did in my childhood, reading was my escape from alot, it was always my go to, jumping from world to world, experiencing things I never dreamed of, expanding my imagination.
