So I’ve never used this before but I have a question and I don’t want ppl to like judge me ig. So AAVE is something I don’t use/speak. Just cause it’s never been in my vocabulary. So when ppl started to talk about it I listened and understood. And I would try to keep myself in check and listen to the words they said were AAVE. And for a while I never came across a word from AAVE I used. Until tho. Expect ppl would use it with tho/doe and I’ve never used doe. So I started to try to research tho to see how it’s used cause I started using tho as shorthand for though when I was in elementary cause that’s when I got my first phone. I used tho and though interchangeably. And I didn’t get it from social media or friends cause my friends didn’t have phones and I couldn’t get social media. I use tho like how I use ppl. So ig I’m asking like is it bad that I’m doing even though I’m not using it in that term? Cause I will change it but I’m trying to understand ig.
