“The Sibyl,” ▔ Emiko ████ ██, but simply known as “Emi” among the students in her class. Outgoing, easygoing, and confident—she blends within the student body effortlessly. However, few notice that her enrolment is a little more than a carefully maintained disguise.

Beyond academy walls, Emi serves as a spirit medium, working alongside another renowned ritual specialist or demonologist to investigate the paranormal incidents noted across countries. Together, they answer requests from families, religious institutions, and the government to help subdue hauntings, possessions, and unexplained phenomenons. While her partner understands demons, curses, demons, etc—Emiko has the ability to perceive the dead themselves. She not only sees them, but senses their presence at a more sensitive level compared to regular humans. To her, the boundary between the living and the dead was never a line that was conscious to begin with. The academy may be the worst place imaginable for a person like her to exist in. The constant influx of death and supernatural presence creates an immense strain on Emi’s body, suffering from: Nosebleeds, migraines, hallucinations, and at times seizures. During particularly powerful manifestations, the student has difficulty discerning whether or not it is an entity. Except despite this, she holds a strong emotional resilience that allows her to continue her work. While being a student to others, Emiko is a first responder in the school to whenever supernatural incidents threaten to spiral beyond containment. Upon further investigations, Emiko and her partner are to understand and discover what’s hidden beneath and is in the open within the school.

ARTICLE ₀₀ › Case File BW-09-3417, Unresolved Homicide of ████. (死ぬ) Authorities have concluded their investigation into the disappearance, and subsequent death of a sixteen year old student from ████ ██ County. Their identity was withheld due to the age of the victim, and at the request of surviving family members.

The student had been reported missing after failing to return home from an evening study session in Osaka, Japan. According to witnesses, the victim was last seen entering the wooded region bordering the old chapel grounds alongside several classmates. A search lasting nearly forty-eight hours ended with investigators locating the victim’s remains within a derelict underground structure concealed beneath the forest. Police, and officials reported the scene to be “highly disturbing”—the chamber contained numerous ritualistic markings painted in what forensics confirmed to be human blood. Candles, animal remains, and handwritten passages in Latin, and several unidentified occult symbols had been arranged around a central stone altar where the victim’s body was discovered, mangled. Autopsies reported the victim suffered grave injuries prior to passing, evidence of prolonged torture and it suggests the student had died immediately. There was no evidence supporting supernatural involvement, and the accused had fled the seen, authorities have yet to find them. Forensic scientists also disclose to officers that the victim body was no longer found, and mysteriously vanished—leading the case to be unresolved to this day.

@illcurse yes— it makes you look terribly unkept, i fear. doesn’t exactly strike fear into any poor soul. [kiyoshō points atop her own forehead where kenjaku’s stitches look particularly rough on their own.] come here, i’ll be gentle, you’ll look all nice again once i’m done (ㆁᴗㆁ✿).
