Understand the exam pattern.
CUET has its own style. The way questions are framed, the weightage, the time pressure, it all has a rhythm.
          Get familiar with it early.
Solving PYQs really helped me get in sync with the paper’s vibe.
          ~ Don’t chase marks.
Aiming for a high score is good, but obsessing over it? Nope.
When you focus on just “700+ chahiye,” you start cutting corners.
Instead, aim to understand deeply and perform your best. The score will follow.
          ~ Prioritise smart revision

People often open old notes and start rereading like a novel. That's useless.
          Instead, revise by solving.
Pick a topic, answer 15 questions, and THEN go back and read the part you got wrong.
It’s like making your brain work instead of just staring at pages.
~And finally: be kind to yourself, yaar
There will be bad days. You’ll feel stuck.
You might get low marks, and get hopeless.
But remember: one bad mock doesn’t define you
Keep showing up. Even on days when it’s just 30 minutes, that still counts.
You just have to start believing in yourself.

Just stay consistent, it is actually easy.
Manifest it. But also work for it.!

It is actually not that hard once you start working smartly. People ignore normal advices saying "yeh toh har koyi batata hai!" But start deep diving into the advices given, and you will ace it.

Reading comprehension.
Especially for English and general test, RC can make your score.
Start reading more. Articles, editorials, even random stories.
Also, practice actual comprehension sets. Train your brain to read and retain fast.
Also... don’t just read and think you understood. Prove it by answering questions.

          ~ Revise your domain subjects.
“Arre comprehension ko strong karo, domain toh ho jayega” - this overconfidence ruins people.
Keep revising your domain subjects regularly. I used to revise through PYQs, rather than just reading my notes again and again.
          Active recall > passive rereading.
If you studied Economics or Psych or B.St., make revision a weekly ritual.
          ~ Time Management.
This is one of the most important soft skills for CUET.
You need to know when to study, what to study, and how long to give to each section.
Even during the exam, managing time per section is critical.

~ Speed and accuracy, dono chahiye, balance karke
          Fast but wrong? Marks gayab.
          Slow but correct? Paper incomplete.
You have to train your brain to be quick and correct.
Use timers. Set a target that you need to solve these questions in this span of time. Then track how many are right.
This habit makes the actual paper feel like a piece of cake.
I still remember solving some PYQs with a stopwatch, and when I got 18/20 right under time, I genuinely felt like a genius for a moment. “Bas, LSR toh ab mera”(lol)
          ~ Logical reasoning.
Even if you think you’re “naturally logical” (same lol), you still need practice.
Also, learn how CUET frames its reasoning questions, they have a pattern, and once you catch it, it becomes 10x easier.

          ~ Stick to limited resources.
More books don’t mean more marks.
I know people who jumped from one material to another and stayed confused till the end.

Pick one good resource for each subject and master it.
          ~

Heyy, sorry for the late reply.
Toh Let me tell you, I started prep almost 8 months before the actual exam. I wasn’t in beast mode 24/7, okay? But I made sure I stayed consistent.
All the advices might seem like 'common' ones, but please, these common mistakes are the ones that ruin the exam.
The ones I am mentioning are worth to work upon. I feel like these were the God-dam reasons of why I got into LSR.
~Practice, Practice and Practice. Yahi Mantra hai.
I’ll start with my golden rule: practice as many questions as you possibly can.
How do I tell you the IMPORTANCE of solving PYQs!
Trust me, this is the one tip that carried me. No matter how well you “understand” a topic, you’re only exam-ready once you’ve messed up some questions and learnt from them.
And believe me, this works like magic.

          ~Give mocks and Analyse "Hard"
I gave my mocks with real seriousness.
I would wear my slippers, lock the room and then give the mocks. What I mean is creating an atmosphere that makes you feel you are actually giving the exam.
But analyse. I kept a fixed time just for analysing them. What went wrong, where did I think wrong etc.

          ~Language Proficiency.
People underestimate this, but your command over language is a huge asset.
Work on reading speed, comprehension, vocabulary.
It helps not just in English but also in understanding every single section better.
I used to read editorials, quirky articles, and even random Reddit threads (don’t judge), just to stay sharp and flexible with language.
