And if you want to get one that looks like mine, he's a salmon red tail, the normal red-tails are a brownish. Albinos are pretty as well.
It's easiest that you pay attention to where their fed, as they won't eat anywhere else.
It's best to feed your snake already dead rats, as it makes them less aggressive.
Also, red-tail males can grow upto 8 feet, and females 10 I think
It's not that hard, you just need a decent sized tank, feed them every 2-3 weeks unless it's winter then they'll eat every 1-2 months. Heat lamp or pad is suggested but if your room is relatively hot/warm your snake should be fine.
