it’s SOOO fucking funny how wattpad has now rebranded “paid stories” as “wattpad originals” to hide away the fact that it’s really just about money. not to mention almost all the paid stories are free from the start and just got turned to paid, so they’re not original or had the intention to be paid in the first place.

“wattpad originals” is just some fake label they put on stories to make people feel special about the stories they read/put out when in reality, it’s just state sponsored shit and not any more special or different from everything else. CALL IT PAID STORIES AGAIN !! or if the exclusivity is what you’re after, call it paid exclusives. it’s not any more original than anything else, it’s just paid. stupid shits.

it’s as if all the other stories on here are not original bc of that damn label. at least, “paid stories” is more straightforward and tells you the distinction between paid and non paid stories; “wattpad originals” just sparks classism and it’s not even true, it’s just a special label they sticked on to some stories that readers have to pay for now after being able to read it for free months ago.
