My book is inspired by several things, it's inspired by the rock and roll era of the 1980s and also I was very inspired by Angel Olsen, not just from her song called 'Lonely Universe', but by several of her songs. I was inspired by the band The Orwells for specific reasons I won't reveal, and I was also inspired by Lana Del Rey for other reasons that you may understand if you have read my book. And lastly, I was slightly inspired by the movie Electrick Children, I really liked the theme of that movie, but my book is very different from it in several ways. Btw if you haven't seen that movie I suggest you go watch it (it's on Netflix!)
