The "about" is always the most awkward for me, so I'm going to try a different approach.  I know, I know, it's supposed to be in third person, but it really annoys me when people talk about themselves in the third person, so I'm just going to write as myself.  I've always been a writer, but I never had the bravery to write fiction until April 15, 2015.  I don't really think there was anything particularly significant about that date, other than it was tax day, but I remember it nevertheless. I had the story for Doughnuts in my head for several years, but in the months leading up to April 15, the characters wouldn't leave me alone.  So, I wrote.  And then I became addicted.  I stopped watching television.  And Netflix.  And now here I am, five books later, and I can't imagine not writing.

When I'm not writing, I'm also a mom, wife, teacher, meal planner, anxiety sufferer, and Harry Potter lover.  Sometimes, I'm also a person.  Not necessarily in that order.
