Ok so I asked my grandmother if she could sign me up for football and she said “girls don’t play football. I will not put u in football but I will put u back into dance. Because when I put your great aunt in it the boys and girls made fun of her for being a girl and I will not have that happen to u” so I said “girls do play football you just don’t see it on tv like you would see regular football. Before we moved I was playing with the boys and girls and nun of them made fun of me for playing football. The boys would always want me on there team and even when I’m in school I play football that why I come home with mud on me. You must have forgotten that I grew up around boys and hardly around any girls. Yes I have a girly girl and tom boy side. But if you put me out on the field you don’t know what I’ll be able to bring to the table because I could have a full on scholarship rn. A female can do anything a male can do if you just believe in that. But if you don’t wanna put me in it I’m fine I can still play with the boys at school.” She looked at me like I was crazy and said “imma put you back n dance” so I just fuck it put me in dance because I need something to do

So today I texted my teacher why she should talk about black history more since it black history month. And this is what I said “it’s black history month and we’re learning about white ppl. It’s messed up ngl. TikTok has told me more about my people’s history than you. We could be talking about the 1811 revolt rn but you choose to talk about your people. You don’t even know how hurt am. Us blacks don’t even know half our history. And to top it all off we have the shortest month. And with n those 23 we have only talked about white ppl. The only two black ppl y’all talked about was Harriet and Rosa. And like I said we could be learning about the 1811 revolt where they decapitated many slaves to set a example for run away slaves. Or even Emmett till of was accused of offending a white woman and was beaten to death. Now that is what we should be learning about. And the black kids would be happy to learn about there history as well. I well not continue to be quite and let you talk about your ppl. Now I don’t care if I get in trouble.” And after I sent it I called my white friend telling her I regret sending it. She then said “why do you regret it. You told her how you feel. You should never regret what you say when you are telling someone how you feel.” She said. I then call my family gc tell them. They then said that I wasn’t wrong for tell her that.
