ANNOUNCEMENT:
Watercats are now an open species with a few guidelines regarding the redesign (that does not mean the guide I made before the redesign doesn't have any value anymore).
1. The character must follow the markings listed on the reference sheet (last part of the guide).
A. The paw marking is optional, and you can move it somewhere else or get rid of it as a whole.
B. You may add other markings as well, the listed markings are just must-haves (except for the paw).
2. The character must reflect the specific designs of each of the genders and variants (yes, the fins on the males can be styled like hair if you must).
3. If the character must have some kind of mutation (extra body parts, weird abilities, etc.), YOU MUST ASK ME BEFORE CREATING.
A. You can show me the design and I can decide on whether it would be realistic for the species to have.
B. The mutations should have a backstory, though it is not needed.
4. They used to have a very specific naming system (ie, Moon's Light), but now you may name the character whatever you like (ie, changed to Moon).
5. Whether your character is anthropomorphic (animal with human behavior/features) or feral (how watercats were originally designed/wild animal), the design should be similar to how the reference depicts them
This will also be pasted into the guide for easier finding (though I expect nobody really cares).
