            “A year is too long,” he responded, giving his head a little shake. He wasn’t trying to be a downer, as that was just his personal opinion on the matter. A faint (and sorta weak) smile crossed his lips at her next few sentences and he shook his head, giving her hand another gentle squeeze. “You’re actually helping more than you realize, Vee, trust me.” Harley soon pulled her in for a gentle hug, arms wrapping around her waist comfortably while a silent sigh escaped his lips. “I’ve always felt like maybe this was some sort of messed up karma for all the bad shit I’ve done in life,” he admitted, his tone softening even more. He didn’t like being in such a vulnerable, open state, but he trusted this girl with everything. “I want him to know how much it hurts me, how pissed off I get...” He trailed off for a moment, a very quiet and bitter snicker leaving him as well before he continued on. “But honestly, I don’t think he’d give a fuck anyway, and the very last thing I /ever/ want to show that man is my vulnerable side...”

I may be an asshole to other people, but I’m not gonna yell at you for rambling. I can /actually/ tolerate you, y’know.” Of course, he was only teasing at that last part. He cared for Valeria so deeply — more than she would probably ever know. As she grabbed the hoodie, he couldn’t help the way his smile widened just a hint longer. “You still have that?
