Here is the summary:
District 7, the Lumber District, is home to pine trees, axes, and the constant drama of Johanna Mason, one of District 7’s most unusual habitants, and Hunger Games survivor; twice. Gillian Rathbone isn’t the strongest, isn’t the smartest, but she’s fast, and may have to use that when she gets picked for the 99th Annual Hunger Games. Coming from District 7, she has to deal with Johanna as a mentor, and hope for the best, because the odds don’t seem to be in her favor. When you are stuck in a home with a single mom and four siblings, you’ve just left the boy you had a date with and you’re behind in your work, you already have enough to deal with… Life isn’t giving Gillian a break, but she has to hope that she can pull together enough to make it out of the arena, alive.
