A Thought on Tears

On some level, I tend to connect love with sadness and pain. When you really love someone, sadness and pain has to come with. People I love are human, broken, and hurting, and that brings me sadness. Sadness also comes from separation from people I love.
Today I was thinking about tears, and how some kinds of sadness are so connected to love. At its heart, I think sadness is maybe a realization of our brokenness, a desperate wish for things to be different, and a feeling that reality *shouldn't* be like this.

          Thoughts??

MUSIC MAKES ME SO EXCITED!!!!!!
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weTtT4tb9bE (Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto #3)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RQoJjhFv2s&t=877s (Schumann Piano Concerto op 54)
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3v9unphfi0 (Allegri's Miserere Mei Deus)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZQzW_QfPew (Tchaikovsky's Hymn of the Cherubim)
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jm1os4VzTgA&t=3973s (Bach's St. Matthew Passion)

What are some of your favorite pieces? Composers? Etc?

When I listen to music like the pieces I've listed, I think I might burst inside from all the feelings I get. I enjoy math, I enjoy reading, I enjoy swimming... but music surpasses words. I don't simply 'enjoy' music. When I hear music, something happens inside me that feels more wonderful than flying.
I think music is one of God's greatest gifts to us.

@nellie11iah I'm sorry, I just now saw this message. That is reallllllyyyy beautiful! Here's one I would love to know the name of...it's a Christmas chant, but they give no name...unless it's called "Christ is Born", but how many there must be by that name!
