( @nemisera ) it was my moms fav book series, so naturally i grew up with it, the movies and the books. one of the movies was the first movie i ever saw in theatres. i don’t ever watch it when it’s just me, and i don’t read the books. it’s more of a comforting/nostalgia thing for me, as it was a thing my family would always together every christmas or winter time. it was also one of the only things that brought me and my older sister together. oh and i will NOT ever be watching the new tv series they are making because i know exactly why it’s being made: so uo rowling has a new younger cast that she can actually control to have her same opinions for now, because all three of the original main actors disagree with her. so i def DONT agree with anything that crazy lady says about trans people, she’s a horrible horrible person, but i watch the movies more as a nostalgic thing than a “i support this crazy transphobe” way. (we always watch them on dvd/blue ray cause we have the discs from years ago and streaming would support her more)

@nemisera i personally turn to fanfiction lmaoo, harry potter is a shit series but so many of the characters have so much potential as fanfiction characters who break out of that system and call it out for what it is. the books were my childhood and my first ever fandom but they're horrible and she's horrible so yeah i definitely don't think your take is "too woke" or anything 

that and basically everything else going on in this shitty series... down to the worldbuilding... this woman is a monster with no redeemable trait, both as a person and as an author.
            
            and they can act like the nazis they are but "woke" comes from ebonics and they will not make it into the negative thing they claim. yes i am woke! and proud. they won't silence me by co-opting terms
