Hey, love. So, there’s TONS of advice I could give, but I’ll give a few that I think is important in this process. First things first, be patient with yourself while you develop and write the story. The worst thing you want to do is write a story that you don’t take your time with—I’ve learned the hard way. Secondly, figure out who your characters are OUTSIDE of the novel—I do this by creating mood boards, creating playlists, and visuals of interests. You and your characters should be able to introduce themselves real easily if y’all have to. Third advice truly depends on a person’s style, but plot out your chapters and scenes, whether in order or out of order. I tend to start by going chapter by chapter, then I turn around and do planning out of order as scenes come to me. Fourth, and very important, is to jot down your ideas as they come bc I’m positive you’re going to forget it when it comes down to writing—even if you’re asleep, wake up and jot the idea down quickly lol. And lastly, write for yourself and not others. Don’t feel too discouraged if people don’t read and comment right away. As long as you enjoy the story and where it’s going, people will follow.
I hope your journey goes well and hit me up if you need anything else
