the chicken’s menacing gaze sent shudders down azusa’s spine.  and was that… a needle?? azusa attempts to squirm away from chicken-neo’s grip, but his weakened body renders his attempts futile.
            
            ``  e-eh?!  wait, mr chicken—!  i mean neo, i’m sorry!  don’t peck me— i mean poke me with that needle!  you know i hate needles…!!  ``  azusa exclaims, trembling.
            
            *     HELP MEEEE i think the overtime is getting to him… or maybe he smth weird idk ;;

            why did it feel like something snapped within him?   his lips held that usual smile of his,   though the slight eye twitch was enough to give away how inpatient he has grown.   “   this lowly ipc worker needs his rest,   doesn’t he~?   ”
            
            forcefully pushing azusa down onto the patient bed,   neo loams over,   menacingly holding what seemed to be a syringe.   “   so,   what’ll it be?   shall i tranquilize you,   strap you to this bed?   im positive all you need is to rest,   so be a good patient and get some rest on your own♪   ”

``  but… but you really do look like one though!  you—-  you have a beak and everything…  ``  at this point, azusa was completely delirious, head spinning with the visage of chicken-neo giving him a threatening look.

            that expression of his..   “   you can always try out a reward system.   ”   that was another solution.   “   y’know,   since punishments aren’t really your style.   ”   neo shrugged,   leaning back in his chair as it spun around.

brows raised.⠀ "  i should,  huh?  really?  "⠀ it's not his style,  not the way he handles things..  perchance this way,  it'll be more efficient for them to actually do their project and whatnot.   [soft..]  he is,  isn't he?  even eugene himself doesn't know how to discipline them.⠀ "  i don't wish to be harsh on them,  they're still learning..  but my way of things won't always go accordingly.  "

            “   mhm~   my cute,   adorable children!   ”   a smile as he nods,   the mere topic of his   ‘children’   always got him in a positive mood.   “   your..   students?   ”   of course,    neo was never too fond of humans-   or anyone in that matter..   perhaps he was the one being too lenient.   “   you always came off as someone soft,   so im not surprised-   mh?   of course you should.   ”

            head tilted,   “   what?   can’t you let me have my fun!?   ”   now he was whining..   “   im only messing with you,   i’m not going to do anything to you.   ”

pupils dilate.   "⠀hold on,  hold on─– don't you  ‘hehe‘  me right now,   just tell me what you're planning to do so i could brace myself!⠀"

            “   that all depends on your pain tolerance,   of course!   so just stay still..   heheh..   ”

            “   ‘bozo’?   mh,   i think you always look ridiculous.   ”   a sigh of his own and a shake of his head,   shrugging his shoulders.   “   i can see that you got blasted in the face,   by the way.   ”

"⠀obviously..!   i don't want to look like a complete bozo as of now..   i made some miscalculation on the device.⠀"   sighed eugene,   his face looked  (literally)  blasted from the receiver that had a minor explosion.   in which this small communicative tool..  he was really eager in perfecting it.

            “   oh?   ”   a brow rose,   eyeing the latter as they spoke.   though the doctor didn’t seem to verbally respond much,   it was quite evident with the slight roll of his eyes that he didn’t care much for the supposed   ‘mess’.   “   im doing just fine in this mess of mine,   thank you.   ”

"⠀and a mess  /is/  a mess.⠀"   this time,   it's stated firmly.    "⠀yes,  yes..   but i am no patient see?   i'm a dearly acquaintance of yours,  so therefore i am opting you to take care of oneself.⠀"   a proudly harrumph to the claim.   even if neo was a doctor,   he should still take care of his well-being.

            that particular hue on the others cheeks interested him,   staring dumbfound before clearing his own throat and turning away.   “   mh,   i think it’s fine.   besides,   if my patients can’t see the mess,   then it’s more than fine.   ”

            “   yeah,   something like that..   ”   his voice trailed off along with his gaze,   though it would momentarily continue to follow the others actions.   of course,   simply because neo wasn’t  able to feel it himself,   doesn’t mean his body wouldn’t react.

"⠀so all your nerves had gone  ‘poof‘  all of a sudden?   or perhaps this is some sort of strange miracle?   how intriguing...   i'm just so bewildered about this.⠀"   indeed he was.   still,  the incessant little touches resumes.   one would nudge,  pinch and poke..   doesn't seem like it's affecting them.  but the skin where he had pinched him reddened.

            merely sitting in silence,   hues watched as the professor had reached out and began to poke the halovian,   following after his movements.   though this touch had not bothered him once,   nor did he move an inch from his spot.   “   are you trying to prove my words wrong?   i can’t feel a thing.   ”

            “   why?   it seems to like it.   ”   he was definitely misinterpreting the poor creatures squirming,   poor thing..   “   ooh,   i never thought of that..   what if it is an alliance attack!   ”   he definitely was getting a kick of amusement out of this whole situation.

"⠀[  ∙∙∙  ]   really?   and here i rhought it was a sign of some kind of alliance to attack me..  guess i overreacted.⠀"   partially embarrassed,  eugene rubbed his head.
