“ ajax..? ” ⠀yuaine stared in disbelief, seeing as another student—a woman at that, was clinging to his side. it made his heartbeat race, and it felt like everything shattered.

it took him aback, seeing how quickly he had broken down the moment his palms pressed against bespeckled cheeks.. now stained with dew droplets of tears, at first yuaine didn't take the apology well. his anger, still undeterred by vague implications ... actions, purpose behind everything. but the way he was willing to let go? that easily after everything? seemed to have added fuel to it instead of empathy. “ you're just gonna abandon everything? ”⠀his brows knit, confused─upset.⠀“ that's not what i wanted! i didn't ask you to leave. all i want is for you to take accountability, why is that so difficult for you?! ”⠀his hands remains still to his cheeks, though with a slight force of shake. but slowly.. after seeing the genuine forlorn upon ajax's features, he slowly let go.⠀“ see? it.. doesn't work. i'll.. hurt you too. it's always been like this between us. ”

“ hey, slow dow- where are you taking me? ” ⠀yuaine asked, eyes blinking as he's taken over to the crowd of students partying.

“ i'm not dumb, of course i know that you twerp—╴ ” he answers back in whisper, though in a form of a small yell. somehow the traces left to his nape effectively making him settle down.... almost.⠀“ don't make fun of me. i'll show you exactly how to do this. ”⠀his other hand slid and rests upon the curve of ajax's spine, the other still remaining on his hip. somehow determined to prove him wrong, he pulls the slighter male closer to him—gently swaying against him amidst the rhythm.

“ did you see what i did? that shot was for you. ” ⠀yusef seemed thrilled to see ajax come, he'd honestly thought he wouldn't! with a wipe of sweat done to his towel, he exhaled deeply out of exhaustion. ⠀“ do you have water? ”
