It's been so long since I read it but if I remember correctly, the boy and his mother wanted to run away because the father was very jealous even of his own son and when it was time to leave, he came and they couldn't leave. Sorry that's all I remember.

Hi Nia, just want you to know that today I finished your book "TheMayor" what a surprising ending. I was hoping that you would write a sequel, but it appears that you will be publishing on Amazon. Do you know when this is going to happen??? Also finished reading "The Assassins Possession" today. You allow the reader(s) to become a part of your stories by visualizing the characters, scenes, places etc. vividly this makes you a good writer.
