I have always found it easier to write my feelings than to speak them aloud.
For most of my life, my mind has been loud - filled with anxiety, overthinking, love, fear, longing, and the strange beauty that exists within sadness. Writing became the one place where I could let those emotions breathe without judgment.
Saints of Small Sorrows was born from quiet nights, restless thoughts, and moments I thought would swallow me whole. Every poem in this collection carries a piece of me: the things I lost, the things I loved, the battles no one saw, and the small fragments of hope I held onto through it all.
I am not a poet in the traditional sense. I am simply someone trying to turn feelings into something tangible - something another person might read and whisper, "I thought I was the only one who felt this way."
If these words bring you comfort, understanding, or even just a moment of feeling seen, then perhaps this book has fulfilled its purpose.
