[EGO WARNING] if you suffer from an ego bigger than my a$s, i think you should consider skipping this. thanks.
[DISCLAIMER] THIS IS N O T A PERSONAL ATTACK ON THE AUTHOR OF THE STORY, i think they did a brilliant job and im sure they are an amazing and fascinating celestial being.
so, in one marvel story that i just finished reading, there is this one little piece of dialogue that triggered me like not many things do (other than some other things but shush we don't talk about it).
"everyone knows black widow is the coolest!"
"you just think that because you're both GIRLS!"
im sorry, what?
FIRST OF ALL gender has nothing and absolutely n o t h i n g to do with anything. i love black widow because she's sassy, intelligent, multillangual, a trauma survivor, and an expert fighter.
she's one of the best and well developped characters marvel has ever created. she is shown as a strong, powerful woman in avengers. she is shown as intelligent, cautious, and tallented in iron man two. and most important of all, she is shown as human in the newest black widow movie. she has problems, she has skelletons in the closet, she has family issues. she doesn't get along with everyone, and it takes a while for her to break through her trust issues.
natasha romanoff is a remarkable person, not only a remarkable woman. she's an intelligent and talented human, not only a talented human.
she isn't good FOR A GIRL. she's. just. good.
"you fight like a girl."
*looks at natasha. "i wish."
natasha romanoff is an incredible and powerful woman, and this is why her demise devastated me to the point of crying myself to sleep for a week.
if you stuck with me through this, i love you <3
if not, well... i don't blame you honestly
stay safe and slay!
