I'm not going to lie, I first joined Wattpad when I was thirteen (aka, seven years ago) and it kinda pains me to see what this site has become. This used to be a safe place for young kids, where kids could build community within themselves. Now it seems likes its just a place where adults can write toxic and vulgar content without any shame ... I'm not saying stories can't be nsfw, they certainly can, but the majority of the romances on this site are hyper sexualised with abusive/non consensual undertones--aka horrible examples for children (who make up a big percentage of the demographic).
I dunno, just wish more authors would consider these things.
