          ngl today was an exhausting day, but it was still a lot of fun. i did some fun stuff, treated myself to a couple of things, finally tried my AMAZING cake, and got some great presents. i am BARELY keeping my eyes open right now, but all in all, i had a fun day!
          
          and speaking of presents, i may not be able to share a piece of cake with you guys, but what i CAN do is treat you with a little out-of-schedule update, so chapter 9 of POISON OF VENGEANCE is out now!!

          honestly, i had much bigger plans for today (which included cotw and bt as well), but i was even busier than expected after new year, so this is all i could manage for now. it ain't much, but it's honest work. don't worry though, i PROMISE i'm still working on both cotw and bt and i'll try to have something out before onc starts. no specific dates or anything because i know i'll basically jinx myself, but just know that they're cooking behind the scenes
          
          this past year has been... a lot. both in good and bad ways, but also in very bland and monotone ones. i often felt like my life is just standing frozen in place without much happening. i made some amazing friends, and i got a few great book ideas (because of course lmao), but other than that, nothing much happened, and yet it also felt like something was ALWAYS going on and i couldn't catch a break. it was a frustrating year to say the least, and that's why i'm even more grateful for all the support me and my books received from everyone. here's to another year of writing, sharing my chaotic first drafts, and attempting to implement some semblance of an update schedule

well hello there *tips hat* long time no see
          
          i know i've been gone for a LONG time, and updates have suddenly halted as well, so i just wanted to stop by and check in. i spent the last 3 months fistfighting life in the walmart parking lot, and i'm glad to say i'm finally winning the battle. tldr: i'm still alive. i'm doing better. i found a new job that i'm officially starting in february. oh, and i'm turning 23 in a liiittle over 3 hours
          
          speaking of, you will hear again from me tomorrow (this is a THREAT). what for? we'll see
          
          but since i'm already here, can you guys believe that onc is starting in a little over 2 weeks? me neither. but hey, if you're as excited for onc as i am and would like to find more writing friends and onc buddies, my WONDERFUL friend @Ririzzaly made a discord server dedicated to just that! apparently, turns out that wattpad likes to eat announcements with non-wattpad links, so if you're interested, i'll leave the link to the server in the reply of this announcement

          in other news, your girl has been swamped and suffering in the trenches. september was NASTY and i lost a whole week of my life being held hostage at my parents' house, so i'm still trying to catch up with everything one by one. pov really suffered because i made the tiniest backlog known to mankind, said "yeah, that'll do it" and then immediately continued updating, so that's completely on me, but as i'm slowly finding my balance again i think that'll improve by the end of the month
          
          bt is still cooking slowly in the background. don't worry, i haven't abandoned my girls. i'll brush up the first 5 chapters soon and write at least 5 more before i continue updating (because we clearly see that i NEED more backlog lmao). i'm still unsure of the exact schedule and whether i'll finish the full draft before i update more or just another 5 chapters, but the overall outline has been fixed, i just need to finish detailed outlines for individual chapters and write them
          
          cotw is... there. i deliberately took a break from it last month because i wanted to focus on bt and pov more (which also ended up being an epic fail), and honestly, i'm still not fully sure if i'll be able to bounce back to it this month, but i'll try and let you know how it goes. either way, the same rules still apply, i'll need at least 5 more chapters done before i continue updating 
          
          and i'm also prepping something new this month that i'll write in november, but i won't be posting it here immediately. i might share more about it soon, so stay tuned x

          in other news, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARLECCHINO THE KNAVE, THE FOURTH OF THE FATUI HARBINGERS, THE FATHER OF THE HOUSE OF THE HEARTH AND THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. i'm so tired rn because i pulled an all nighter to see that birthday art the second it dropped (6am my time) and it was absolutely worth it. i have zero regrets
          
          also i watched kpop demon hunters a few days ago and i totally get what the hype was about. watch me as i make it my whole personality now. a hyperfixation, even

pov updating on friday? what the hell, sure. honestly, i have no idea what i'm doing anymore and i've been holding this chapter hostage because i didn't like it for quite a while, BUT chapter 6 of POISON OF VENGEANCE is finally out!

hi!! just a quick update - i'm still in the editing trenches with pov (trenches, she says, as she's doing very light editing) and chapter 6 isn't done yet, so there won't be an update today because i'm too stubborn to stray from my Updating DaysTM. but rest assured, as soon as i'm done, the newest chapter will be scheduled for next thursday <3 cotw will probably join that list in a few days as well

          1. yes, i did finally change my theme. you can still take arlecchino out of my cold, dead hands, but i just wanted to switch things up a little. not sure i like this one, but fuck it, we're purple for now
          
          2. BITTER LEMONADE HIT 1K READS YESTERDAY???? i'm still in disbelief that it got there so quickly. HUGE thanks to everyone who decided to give my girls a chance <3 i might have a little something to celebrate later this week, but it will be over in my discord server

          4. as for writing... it's going, but VERY slowly lol. now that i can confidently say i'm feeling better, i'll probably have more updates soon. fingers crossed i have the next chapter of pov out this thursday, and cotw will *probably* (but not 100% promising) be out next monday! as for bt... next week probably? honestly, i've neglected these 3 books for a while (especially cotw and pov) so coming back to them now feels kinda jarring, which is why i can't just randomly sit down and hammer out a few chapters a week all of a sudden like i did for books like isok and bl. but i'm taking baby steps, so hopefully the word machine will be oiled up and fully functioning again by the end of the month o7

hi everyone! consider this a mid-month check in from your local exhausted nina <3 
          
          things have been pretty slow on my end lately because this month has been 50 shades of terrible in general, especially the last week. (un)fortunately for the universe and the general public, i'm simply too stubborn and spiteful to take things lying down, so i've been slowly pushing through. slowly, but i'm still kicking.
          
          bt contributed to this slump pretty negatively, because i've honestly debated just ditching it and removing it from my profile for the time being, but don't worry, it's not going anywhere for now. when it comes to pov and bt, first i'm going to take some time to do a light round of edits of the chapters that are currently up (which for pov means a bit of polishing and expanding the descriptions, and for bt trimming down the unnecessary word padding, courtesy of onc deadlines). i won't update these two until i'm done with that. i'm hoping to wrap that up by the end of the week, but no promises. i've suffered with some nasty brain fog last week, and although i'm doing a bit better now, i don't feel confident enough to promise anything lol
          
          cotw should be back up and running... sometime soon. i'm tempted to go back and edit the first few chapters of that book too, but it will need far more than just some light line editing, so that's not a good idea. i'm trying to get out of a slump there as well, and we'll see how that ends for me
          
          either way, i'll keep you guys updated regardless of how things work out. thank you for sticking around. love you <3

          now, for the actual monthly update and may plans, as i mentioned... sometime recently, now that bl is done, my first priority is finishing bt since that one's the shortest and it'll take the least amount of time to get to the finish line. either when i'm done with the whole first draft OR when i finish all the remaining chapter outlines at least, i'll go back to cotw and pov as well and write a few chapters of those, so the updates for those two will be returning later this month as well
          
          there is also another offline draft (or, well, semi-offline at least) that is also very high on my priority list, and i plan to finish that this month as well. after all of that is done (finishing those two drafts + a bit of cotw and pov backlog), i'll go back to the drawing board for bl and start working on draft 2 outline (which, yes, will be a novel. and it'll be HUGE)
          
          there's also a few more things i'll STILL be working on in the background, but shh... you're not supposed to know about those yet (〜￣▽￣)〜
