          honestly, 2024 has been a pretty rough year, both on the writing front and in general, but we made it through in the end. i hope 2025 will be much kinder and have so so many better things in store, and i'm extending these wishes to all of you as well <3
          
          now, i've been delaying this announcement for a few days already because this week has been a mess, so i decided to just throw everything out there at the same time lol
          
          first, ISOK HIT 1K READS TONIGHT??? huge huge HUGE thanks to everyone who contributed to this milestone over the past 11 months. every now and then i get absolutely astounded when i realize how much attention this messy first draft has gotten, and today is one of those days as well. thank you SO much for loving my girl. love you all <3
          
          second, CALL OF THE WEAVER and POISON OF VENGEANCE are both coming back next week! yes, both!! cotw will continue updating on mondays as it did before, but i might change the designated update day for pov. i'm not sure tbh, so whenever you see a new chapter pop up, that's what we're sticking to for now xD
          
          also i can't believe my birthday is in 9 days? technically 8 since it's already past midnight?? i'm turning 22 next friday??? that's wild tbh. i'm sure it'll be an uneventful day as usual tho

          this is a little weekly/mid-month check in (since nothing's currently updating, and therefore i have no other excuse to yap here)
          
          the end of the year is *very* fast approaching, and i'm playing catch-up by juggling with 15 scorching hot potatoes, so writing-wise, i'm kinda everywhere and nowhere at the same time. but i'm slowly getting there (currently, the emphasis is on "slowly" >.>)
          
          i'd also love to reorganize some stuff around here and catch up with some comments by the end of the year, so if any of you start seeing some reading list notifications from me... that's why. i'm terrible at keeping up with them and actually, you know, using them xD i'll also start replying to comments sometime this week. i love receiving comments, i love reading them, but replying just takes a different level of energy that i usually don't have, so i wait a bit until there's more of them before replying to everything at once... it's just that, at this point, i've been behind for months. isok is the first on my list because that one has the most comments, but i'll get around to cotw and pov too eventually

happy december everyone!! this is my (slightly late) monthly announcement/update (and it's long), so buckle up buckaroos \^o^/
          
          first of all, i would really like to thank everyone who's been reading IN SEARCH OF KASENA recently, especially in the past month! my messy little baby is growing so fast and you have no idea how happy that makes me T^T
          
          now, since kasena is completed, i should slowly shift my focus back to my ongoing books. CALL OF THE WEAVER will be the first one to come back off hiatus with new updates, although that probably won't happen for another 2 weeks at least. holding my fingers crossed for somewhere between 2-4 weeks. POISON OF VENGEANCE will probably return in january, since i need to build a bigger backlog for that one.
          
          there are still 2 offline drafts i'm heavily focused on though, one that is already in progress and should be finished this month, and another one which is nearing the end of the planning stage and will be my next primary focus (sorry cotw and pov ;-;). and then there's 2 other offline drafts that i'll also dabble in this month. and another 2 that i'm slowly prepping. i simply have way too many books please send help i am drowning—
          
          december is traditionally my month of prepping for the upcoming year, which includes wrapping up as many 2024 projects as possible (aka playing catch-up), reassessing any loose 2025 plans i had and setting firmer guidelines, and designing new planners and google sheets. and if you know me, you know i have very many of those and i take my sheets very very seriously (yes i'm neurodivergent how did you guess), so there will be lots of things keeping me busy. there's a roughly 117% chance i'll go insane by the end of the year, so thank you in advance for all the patience ^o^
          
          i'm also turning 22 in exactly 45 days (january 17th, tyvm), so i'm slowly preparing for that as well. and then there's onc too. my brain is uncapable of shutting off. wish me luck pls (._.')

          now what's next? CALL OF THE WEAVER will be the first one to return with new updates, but it might take me a couple of weeks more than i expected. lots of life stuff have been happening behind the scenes (i was even sick TWICE. scandalous) so i'm behind on all the writing i was supposed to do this month. my main priorities at the moment are finishing an online draft (that you can read in my discord server!) and working on my new nanowrimo book. yes, it's the 16th. no, i haven't started writing it just yet. i am definitely not cooked.
          
          and in case you're wondering, no, i won't be posting the first draft of that book on wattpad because there's a very high chance it will be incredibly messy, and i just don't want to share something like that at this stage. you will only be able to read it in my discord server (link below), and as for wattpad, you can expect to see it sometime next year when i finish the second draft

          now you may be thinking "but nina, it's monday, aren't you supposed to update on thursdays and/or sundays?" and to that i say time is an illusion. but also i'm doing this weird thing where i'm stubbornly trying to mark this book as completed by the end of the month at any cost. i don't even know why. it's not like anyone's holding me at gunpoint to update more often (although maybe they really should >.>). but i'll try my bestest best to update mondays/wednesdays/fridays, concluding with next wednesday. there's only 4 chapters left after this one and i don't think you guys understand how excited i am

          p.s. cotw and pov are still being held hostage at the moment (sorry about that ;-;). i need at least a bit of backlog before i continue the updates since november is approaching rapidly and i have a shiny new book that will be my main focus. current plan is no updates until i reach chapter 10, so cotw is most likely coming back in november, and pov in december. i'll keep you updated <3
