A synopsis should contain details of your books without ruining the plot twist or giving too much information. First, the protagonist(the exposition). Next is the situation that puts the protagonist in whatever drives the book(inciting incident). Then something that triggers momentum (rising action). This is where it gets tricky—because many times, the plot twists are in the climax—you don’t have to add it; just show the things are about to go down from what we’ve read prior, we should already know that, so the climax part underscores it. Your synopsis has a lot of talking and no concrete information about what it’s really about. Many readers, who may like your genre, may not bother to read because they get put off by the summary.
I’ll send a summary of my book For a Mobster, so you use an an example or something.
N.B, this is not to insult your work or take the creativity out of you. And if, for whatever reason, you don’t find my criticism constructive, that’s on me—and I apologize. ❤️
