Hey, I just want to say something straight from me, not in a weird or dramatic way — just honest.

I really like you. Like, genuinely. You make me happy in ways that surprise me sometimes. I feel seen by you — like the parts of me that aren’t easy for everyone to understand, you get without me even having to explain.

But then sometimes, you say something that just flips the energy — like something rude or dismissive — and it throws me off completely. It’s not just that it hurts; it’s that it messes with how safe or real things feel between us.

And maybe you don’t mean it. Maybe you’re just being you. But it leaves me feeling crazy — because I go from really happy to suddenly doubting if I imagined the good parts.

I’m not asking you to be perfect. I just need you to know that I care about you deeply. And I need that care to be mutual — not just when things are easy, but especially when they’re not.

I want us to be real friends, if we’re gonna do this. But that only works if you can hold both: the fact that I like you, and the fact that I need emotional clarity, not confusion.
