A few days ago, I stumbled upon your story “Fake Happy”—and wow. I was genuinely blown away. Even if it's not complete, I'm already loving it.

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to take a minute to (1) log back into wattpad after logging off last night and (2) talk a little bit!
As I’m sure many can scroll down and see; yesterday I was engaged in (what I thought was a) respectful conversation (and from what I’ve gathered with further conversation with the person of whom was involved, was also considered respectful). During this time I messaged a group chat to vent because my anxiety was going haywire (not only because of this conversation but also because of things going on in my personal life and my state), my friends saw that and decided to try and protect me (that was not something they needed to do nor something that I asked of them to do).
I can’t speak for them and their actions, but what I said and the conversation I was part of was not meant to cause any harm. And if I did, I have already apologized to the party it would have harmed directly, but I’ll take it to all of you as well to hear. I am deeply sorry if my words hurt anyone and/or me venting to my friends caused them to say anything that harmed another.
I’m going to log back off because even logging back onto the app to post this is causing my anxiety to run laps around me lol, and I’m already at work (in healthcare) which does that to me anyways I do not need to add more to it.

@nostalgiclogan hi! i have already sent the person you are referring to a private apology where i stated that i genuinely did not know their race or ethnicity when i said they appeared to be being performative. i’ve never seen them before in my life and had not clicked on their profile at that time. that was on me and i am actually really really sorry it came off that way because racism is absolutely nasty behavior that i don’t stand for and next time i should definitely check that before getting involved (or just not get involved at all). however, she doesn’t seem to have accepted by apology based on her (now deleted) reply, so there is really not much more i can do. but i did want to make it clear that i was in no way shape or form trying to target anyone because of their race. have a nice day :)

So please refer to what I stated in my overall post — I tried to keep my conversation and thread with the other person involved respectful (including in our private DMs that occurred later that day) and I genuinely don’t believe anything I said could have been taken as borderline racist. If either you or the person involved have examples of things that *I* said that seemed to be that way please let me know, I believe highly that these kinds of things need to be called out. Especially because it would not have been coming from me in a direct way/a way that I meant for it to happen. Even after speaking with the person involved, she agreed that *I* hadn’t said anything that made her feel as though I was coming from this in a derogatory or negative way. So I would appreciate to know where you’re finding this with me to better myself for later! I agree that my friends could have and should have reacted and acted better. But that is on *them* and not on *me*.

Admitting to it getting a little heated doesn't obsolve the things you said. You should practice what you preach and embrace empathy and respect even to someone who you don't agree with

@vintagedreamsx there’s a difference between being educated and spreading performative activism. time and place! you don’t need to attack someone for simply stating they’re listening to an album, find a fundraiser to donate to or share helpful information to your page instead.
