Framing Twilight has now been renamed Diptych. I thought it fit better due to a chapter-mirroring situation I had going on between Blue Hour Boy and Golden Hour Girl. If you're free and don't mind, why not check it out? :)

Hi! I'm back with a new story, tentatively titled Framing Twilight. Set in a university in 2026 Singapore, the story is told in two parts: Golden Hour and Blue Hour.

Golden Hour follows Japanese music major Fujimoto Mio as she becomes the unknowing subject of fellow student Chen Xingye's unexpectedly famous photography series, which documents "moments before departure" across campus. After discovering that many of the photographs were candid images of her during vulnerable moments after rehearsals, Mio confronts him over the uneasy boundary between artistic observation and personal invasion. Soon, however, they find themselves falling into a twilight haze in the liminal space of the university campus.

Blue Hour, in turn, follows photography major Xingye as he prepares his final graduation exhibition, a body of work that increasingly centers around Mio despite his insistence that it is really about 'distance'. As graduation approaches, he continues documenting their relationship, unaware that he is also recording its ending.

Updates will be sporadic. Thank you for your patience.

@nobodywasthere789 oh what an interesting premise! It reminds me of the photographer who photographed his wife leaving for work every morning and captured the end of their relationship.

Hi!

Thanks for the follow, I followed back.

Just wanted to say I couldn’t help but smile seeing the “789” in your username. I’m a “123” myself, so it felt like a funny little connection.
