Something bloody for you freaks

I struck him with everything I had left in me. He barely flinched.
“You killed them!”
“Yes.”
He hauled me to my feet, his grip bruising.
“And I will kill every soul who dares to hide you.”
The village outside was silent. Doors shut. Lights extinguished. They had heard. They would not interfere.
He dragged me through the broken doorway.
“Look at me,” he commanded.
I refused.
His fingers gripped my chin, forcing my gaze upward.
“You cannot outrun me, Sorina. Not in the forest. Not in this world.”
Tears streamed down my face. “I would rather die.”
Something flickered in his eyes — something almost wounded — but it vanished beneath iron resolve.
“No,” he said coldly. “You would not.”
He lifted me effortlessly, throwing me over his shoulder as if I were nothing.
“Humans are… empathetic creatures,” he mused. “You care even when you pretend you do not.”
He stepped closer.
Not rushing.
Not threatening.
Just closing distance.
“Tell me, Sorina,” he said softly, voice almost curious. “How much pain can you take? How much… torment can you face before you break?”
She met his gaze directly.
“More than you think.”
For a moment, silence hung between them like a drawn blade.
Then he laughed.
Low. Rich. Almost delighted.
Water still dripped from his hair onto his shoulders.
“I like you,” he admitted. “This will be fun.”
She raised the candlestick then, fast and without warning, swinging it toward his temple with all the force she had.
He caught it midair.
Effortlessly.
His hand closed around the brass stem before it could touch him.
They stood frozen like that—her straining, him barely exerting effort.
“You see?” he said softly. “Difficult.”
He twisted the candlestick from her grip and tossed it aside. It clattered uselessly across the stone floor.
Sorina didn’t step back.
She shoved him instead.
It was like pushing a marble statue.
He did not move.
He looked down at her hands on his chest.
Then back at her face.
“You have spirit,” he said. “Spirit is good. I do not enjoy when they cry too much.”
The courtyard was crowded. Dozens of vampires leaned against pillars and battlements, watching. Waiting. Their eyes glinted like animals.
At the center of the stone square stood four figures on their knees.
Her breath caught.
Anya. Old Mira. Tomas’s wife, Lidia. And little Petru’s mother, Ileana.
Their hands were bound behind their backs. Their faces were pale with terror. Anya’s lip trembled when she saw Sorina.
“Sorina…” she whispered.
The chain jerked forward as Sorina was forced down onto her knees opposite them. The metal collar dug into her throat.
A slow clap echoed across the courtyard.
Iliyan descended the stone steps from the balcony above like a king approaching his throne. He wore black, pristine despite the dried blood darkening his cuffs. His long hair was pulled back loosely, exposing the sharp angles of his face. There was a smile playing on his lips—one meant only for her.
“My bride,” he said softly.
The soldiers chuckled.
Sorina glared at him. “I am not your bride.”
He stopped in front of her, tilting his head as though examining a jewel. “Not yet.”
He circled her slowly, boots clicking against stone. “Today, Sorina, you will be given a gift. Four chances to choose eternity.”
He stopped between her and the kneeling villagers.
“Four chances to recite the Oath of the Bride of Dracula,” he continued smoothly. “Four opportunities to accept your rightful place at my side.”
His eyes flicked to the villagers.
“And with each refusal… one of them dies.”
A murmur of anticipation rippled through the soldiers.
Anya began to sob.
Sorina’s stomach twisted, but her voice, when she spoke, was steady. “You are a coward.”
Laughter burst around them.
Iliyan’s smile widened. “Am I?”
“You raid villages in the night. You slaughter women in chains. You think that makes you powerful?” She pulled against her bonds, metal clinking. “Death would be kinder than becoming what you are.”

What stories should I update next?
I absolutely am hooked on your story 'Triangle' already. Your books always amaze me
"Not ever? Not in a full 22 years?"Cleo asks.
"Not once. It's sad, I know."i say.
"....Kara that's not normal."Cleo says.
"I know, and you keep setting me up on these blind dates. They're always really good in bed but they just...they just don't do it for me."I huff, stirring my drink.
"Girl, we need to fix that."she huffs.
"I think that explains a lot actually."Mia says.
"What's that supposed to mean?"I ask.
"Well, think about it Kara! You're such a tight ass that if I were to shove a lump of coal up there it'd turn into a diamond in an hour. I should've known you've never had an orgasm."she says.
"...oh no it's obvious."I say softly.
"..oh! N-not too obvious babe! You just come off as very well rounded and organized."she says.
Suddenly, Cleo slams a business card down on the table in front of me, making me jump.
"You need to call this number. I'll pay, consider it an early birthday present."she says with a big smile.
I look at the card and squint. There wasn't much to tell about the card, much less about what exactly Belikov Services was in general.
"...what is this?"I ask.
"It's...a service."she says.
I glare at her.
"...what kind of service?"I ask, making Mia chuckle.
"Well, think about it babe. You can't get off with any of these amateurs. I think it's time you called in a professional."she says, causing me to gasp.
"Is this a prostitute card?!"I whisper at her.
"Yeah?"she shrugs.
"Oh my god, I can't. Cleo, this type of stuff isn't for me."I say.
"Oh my gosh, just try it! Trust me, this agency is lucrative, professional. And very good at their job."she smirks.
"...i-i don't know."I say, nervous.
"Don't be shy Kara. You work so hard, you deserve it. And Cleo even said she'd pay!"Mia says.
I smile, blushing a bit.
"Well..I mean, I do work hard."I say softly.
Cleo and Mia both chuckle excitedly.
"Yes! And after, you tell us everything okay?"Cleo asks.
"Well obviously."I say, making them chuckle again.
